Scotland joins the Transport Decarbonisation Alliance

At the 25th Conference of Parties (COP25) in Madrid, Spain, under the Presidency of Chile, the Transport Decarbonisation Alliance (TDA) welcomed its newest member Scotland. The Climate Change Secretary Roseanna Cunningham signed the TDA Charter during COP25.

Scotland became the 25th member of the TDA. The Scottish Government has a strong set out a suite of ambitious measures aimed at decarbonising the transport system: New petrol and diesel cars are planned to be phased out in Scotland by 2032, and public sector fleets will be decarbonised by 2030, the rail network by 2035 and internal scheduled flights by 2040.
