Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) has launched Innovation Challenge 2, with funding available for up to 75% of eligible project costs, with a minimum grant of £5,000 and a maximum of £25,000. This grant funding call is for companies to test or demonstrate their products, processes, services, or business models in Demand Responsive Transport/Mobility as a Service or Electric Vehicle Charging at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc. 

 What are the Aims and Objectives of the Innovation Challenge? 

Innovation Challenge 2 will use MSIP as a test bed and demonstrator location for new mobility models by validating new and disruptive business models, demonstrating innovative products, processes, and services, and creating employment opportunities. Successful Innovation Challenge 2 projects can include new hardware, software, data, and service technologies as well as projects designed to encourage modal shift. Proposals addressing the transfer of learners to and from the MSIP Skills Academy and those addressing the “A CAV Roadmap for Scotland” are encouraged. 

Specifically, MSIP has ambitions to; 

1. Leverage investment into company innovation projects 
2. Build collaborative opportunities 
3. Build a pipeline for core facilities (labs, hub, light industrial spaces, Locate) 
4. Provide a funnel for applicants into Accelerator Cohort 4 
5. Provide a funnel for future innovation challenges run in partnership with other partners 

Why should companies apply? 

MSIP will run a swift, secure, and confidential single-stage process to support projects that address The Challenge Theme(s), allowing companies to de-risk their investment, develop new products and processes and grow their businesses.

Projects eligible to apply must be led by a company and can include more than one participating entity. Companies do not have to be located at MSIP in Dundee or Scotland. Collaborative partners can be companies or Universities.
