According to a recent report from EVBox Group and the market research firm Ipsos in the U.S., when employers offer workplace charging, EV drivers are more eager to stick with EVs. Two-thirds (67%) of EV drivers say workplace charging would make them more likely to buy another EV as their next car.
In line with the todays’ world movement of transitioning to sustainable transportation, it is important to highlight that businesses that step up to support EV drivers — by adding EV chargers at their locations and offering all-electric company cars to employees — will be more attractive to potential hires.
The report findings make clear that incentives like tax credits to help companies afford to install the EV infrastructure that drivers need, really help.
Governments need to continue working on the progress towards a sustainable transport future by implementing new ways to accelerate the transition for businesses and drivers.
