Funding, a great ally of electric vehicle uptake in British Columbia
The Community Outreach Incentive Program (COIP), which objective is to educate and encourage people to go for electric vehicles (EVs) has designated a funding percentage for community groups and local governments throughout the province to join the transport decarbonisation transition.
Bruce Ralston, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation affirms that this initiative pretends to help raise awareness about the benefits of going for EVs in British Columbia. There will be cleaner air and pollution will be significantly reduced. These actions clearly will allow the region to move forward on the Clean BC Plan which consists of a pathway to a more prosperous, balanced and sustainable future that supports the government’s commitment to climate action to meet British Columbia.’s emission targets and build a cleaner and stronger economy for everyone. British Columbia has assigned $118,000 through the COIP to contribute to this goal.
The province government is working hard to support people with affordable and clean transportation options that work for them.
