Michelin efforts on electric mobility
In order to limit CO2 emissions and climate warming, the transport sector is evolving into a widespread electrification movement. Michelin aligns with this thought and is actively engaged in this. From that, Michelin has started to work on some improvements to make the electric transition easier for all.
Some of these improvements consist of building tires specifically for electric vehicles, that are manufactured with less plastic and are lighter, has helped to reduce the internal noise caused by the tires, a big problem for electric vehicles so far, has worked on the creation of low rolling resistance tires to improve the EV’s battery life and has improved the energy efficiency of its tires by 20%.
Besides demonstrating and leveraging its technological leadership Michelin as a TDA member is really committed to the development of specific solutions for electric vehicles and with this plans to make sustainable mobility a reality.
Great movement Michelin, thanks for joining the fight against carbon emissions.
