Michelin is a French tyre manufacturer based in France. It is the second largest tyre manufacturer in the world. The company set target to reduce carbon footprint of each tyres by 20% between 2010 and 2030 and reduce production-related GHG emissions by 50% by 2050 compared to 2010 levels.
Michelin has actively taken actions to achieve the Paris Agreement by:
Setting up an Environment Governance dashboard that monitors progress of targets
Reducing CO2 emissions and material consumption with lighter tyres
Offering through Michelin Solutions global Services for truck fleets to reduce their Carbon Footprint
Reusing, repairing, regrooving and retreading tyres
Introducing renewable raw materials into production process
Investing in renewable raw materials (e.g. bio-butadiene, natural rubber sustainable production : capacity building of farmers, permaculture with bananas and cacoa trees)

Michelin is testing an internal carbon price for its investment projects since 2016, on the basis of €50 per tonne of CO2
