TDA Secretariat meeting with Matosinhos and CEiiA
On 30 September, as part of a round of meetings with Portuguese TDA members, the TDA Secretariat met with the mobility representatives of the Municipality of Matosinhos and the company CeiiA.
In Matosinhos, the Bike Sharing and Bike Parking initiatives are at the chore of the integrated mobility management of the city.
These initiatives will allow users to rent electric bicycles or scooters in the same app, buy and validate public transport tickets, pay for parking on public roads, charge electric vehicles. and access relevant information such as bus lines, schedules and waiting times at boarding locations.

CEiiA and the Municipality of Matosinhos lead the Living Lab of Matosinhos: a space for testing and demonstrating decarbonisation solutions in real-life urban contexts.
Objectives include promoting the capacity for innovation and internationalisation of companies that develop smart, low-carbon solutions, as well as providing information to municipalities, companies, and citizens about urban indicators – collected in real-time – that support decision-making and innovation.

CEiiA is also working on AYR, a blockchain-enabled platform that quantifies and values CO2 emissions avoided by people making sustainable mobility choices.
AYR rewards the user with credits (token AYR) that store the value of CO2 savings and can be exchanged for green products and services.

This platform exemplifies the “4C’s” working together since it was built by the company in coordination with the Government of Portugal, the Municipality of Matosinhos, and citizens.
