Tevva to Start High-Volume Production
of Electric Lorries in UK

Tevva announced this January that it was the first British company to win European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA) for a 7.5 ton battery-electric truck. This recognition is given to vehicles that meet a number of performance requirements ranging from tires to emissions and braking systems. This approval cleared the way for the company to move forward  on increasing its electric truck production and sales in the UK and Europe.

Tevva also highlighted its plan is to  sell up to 1,000 electric trucks in 2023 and stated that it has started to deliver its first vehicles to customers, including: Expect Distribution, Travis Perkins, and Royal Mail. Being the only current UK manufacturer to be mass producing electric trucks gives Tevva unique market relevance, a situation that the company is keen to take advantage of.
