On December 6, 2023, TDA hosted an evening reception at the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP28), bringing together transportation experts and leaders from around the world. This reception provided a unique platform for attendees to meet and learn from professionals dedicated to decarbonising their transportation systems. 152 participants joined this evening reception, fostering connections to help advance transportation decarbonisation worldwide.
1. Substantiated scaled-up ambition for the transport sector: Designing a common vision for ‘front-runners’. 2. Tangible action: Setting up Communities of Interest. 3. Effective advocacy: Influencing political decision-makers in key international fora on climate change (e.g. UNFCCC), sustainable development (e.g. UN High Level Political Forum – SDGs), international political processes (e.g. EU, G7, G20, B20) and through bilateral dialogues.
how do members participate in the tda?
In Communities of Interest (CoIs), members collaboratively develop policy recommendations, reports, online courses, and other products or outcomes important to them. They contribute to and benefit from networking, thought leadership, peer-to-peer learning, and shaping international ambition and action through initiatives and participation.
