EV Driver Training: a Key Aspect of Decarbonisation
As Luxembourg transitions to sustainable transport, the TDA member has identified the training of and knowledge sharing among EV drivers as a top priority. When shifting from diesel to electric vehicles, drivers need to learn more about the anatomy of vehicles, be able to communicate effectively with the supervision centre, and be familiar with relevant IT tools. In an age of digitalisation, drivers will need support to to confidently manage the new logistical and technical realities of driving EVs.
A related challenge is a shortage of drivers. In this instance, digitalisation and cutting-edge clean technologies may help with the recruitment and retention of the next generation of drivers.
