Morna Cannon
Head of Innovation and Acceleration, Transport Scotland

As Head of Innovation and Acceleration at Transport Scotland, Morna Cannon leads a team focused on accelerating the decarbonisation of all forms of transport technology, and securing a just transition to net zero.

Prior to joining the Scottish Government, Morna led maritime emissions reduction policy at the UK Government, spearheading the first national strategy for maritime decarbonisation, the Clean Maritime Plan, and a member of the UK delegation to the International Maritime Organization on shipping emissions reduction.

With a career spanning 15 years in energy and climate roles in the private and public sector, Morna is passionate about solving the climate crisis while laying the foundations for a sustainable economy

Dr. Sydney Vergis
Division Chief, California Air Resources Board's Mobile Source Control Division (MSCD)

Dr. Sydney Vergis is the Division Chief overseeing the California Air Resources Board’s Mobile Source Control Division (MSCD). Her portfolio includes many of CARB’s incentive programs as well as medium, heavy duty, and off road emissions regulations. She previously led CARB’s Legislative Office and is a former Senior Land Use Planner and Yolo County Planning Commissioner.  She is also a member of the Davis Sunrise Rotary Club.

Mr. Alan McKinnon
Professor of Logistics in Kühne Logistics University, Hamburg and Professor Emeritus at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh

Alan McKinnon is Professor of Logistics in Kühne Logistics University, Hamburg and Professor Emeritus at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He has been researching and teaching in freight transport / logistics for over 40 years and has published widely in journals and books on many different aspects of the subject. Much of his research has focused on the relationship between logistics and climate change. He has been an adviser to several governments, parliamentary committees and international organisations, including the International Transport Forum/OECD, the World Bank, European Commission, World Economic Forum and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In 2018 he published a book on ‘Decarbonizing Logistics’.  More details of his research can be found at https://www.alanmckinnon.co.uk  

Mr. Yann Briand
Senior climate policy researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI)

Yann Briand is a senior climate policy researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), an international policy think tank affiliated to Sciences Po in France that identifies the conditions and proposes tools to put sustainable development at the heart of international relations and public and private policies. He is working on long-term decarbonization trajectories in the transport sector as part of the Deep Decarbonization Pathways – DDP initiative and his work should inform the transport’s stakeholders and political decision-makers about possible decarbonization transformations and action levers.

Mr. Frédéric Delorme
President of Rail Logistics Europe, SNCF

A graduate of the École Polytechnique and a civil engineer, Frédéric Delorme began his career in 1985 in the Toulon and Paris Maritime Works Department. He joined the SNCF in 1991 where he held various positions : head of the engineering structures department, sales director, regional director, etc. In January 2013, he joined Systra, the SNCF public transport infrastructure engineering subsidiary, as Director of Operations and member of the Management Board. In January 2016, he became General Manager of Safety for the entire public rail group. On 2 March 2020, he took over as head of the SNCF Group company that brings together rail transport and logistics activities, becoming President of Rail Logistics Europe and Fret SNCF. One of the major challenges since his arrival has been to ensure that rail freight is recognised as a key issue in the decarbonisation of freight transport in France and Europe by conveying the message of the externalities avoided by rail.

Mr.Nicolas Beaumont
Senior VP Sustainable Development and Mobility, Michelin

Nicolas Beaumont’s 30 years within the Michelin Group enabled him to hold different positions in the USA, in India and in Europe. Prior to assuming his current role, Nicolas Beaumont served as CEO of Michelin Travel Partner (Michelin leisure, food and travel related activities), President and Managing Director of Michelin India TamilNadu Tyres Pvt Ltd located in Chennai, and Worldwide Supply Chain Manager of Michelin’s Earthmover Tyre Product Line. Since joining the Michelin Group, he has held other positions in Research, Development, Production management and supply Chain. He graduated from The Ecole Polytechnique in France and holds a PHD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole des Mines de Paris.

Ms. ​​Elisabeth Munck af Rosenschöld
Leading Sustainability in IKEA Supply Chain Operations

Elisabeth is a passionate change agent to make sustainability a true enabler for successful business. She has a Master of Law and a Master of Science in environmental management and policy. Since 2016 she leads sustainability in Supply Chain Operations with a strong focus on reaching ambitious climate targets for global transportation and logistics. She leads the transportation development and innovation network across the IKEA value chain.
