Maputo and Quelimane join the TDA,
the first African city members
Today the two Mozambican cities Maputo and Quelimane join the Transport Decarbonisation Alliance (TDA). They signed the TDA charter and became officially the 22nd and 23rd member of the TDA at a ceremony in Maputo. The ceremony was attended by representatives of both cities and the Minister for Environment and Energy Transition of Portugal. The TDA has now 23 members over 4 continents.
Maputo is the capital city of the East African country Mozambique and has over 1.1 million citizens. Quelimane is a city with 350,000 people and of major importance in the region. The cities will join in the transition of the transport sector towards a net-zero emission mobility system before 2050.
