Matosinhos signed a contract with the Environmental Fund for the construction of an inter-municipal cycle route, within the scope of the Portugal Cycling 2030 programme. 

With this project, the government intends to promote the use of bicycles as a form of mobility in urban areas, especially for commuting, in addition to the offer of public transport, favouring connections that allow reaching the greatest number of citizens.
